The Hauraki Coast & Coromandel, NZ North Island

Beachfront holidays at Hahei Beach, gateway to Cathedral Cove

41 Harsant Avenue, Hahei 3591, New Zealand

Long known as Hahei Beach Resort, Tasman Holiday Parks Hahei is now the place to stay on one of the Coromandel's most loved stretches of sand. Five hundred metres of Hahei Beach, right outside your door. The kind of beach that gets under your fingernails, into your hair, and onto the bedsheets, and you don't even mind. Can I book Hahei Beach for a group, a wedding, or an event?

A beachfront holiday park that fits 1,200 guests, yeah, this place does events. Weddings, corporate retreats, school camps, and big family reunions. Call the team to talk through what's possible.

Is there a café or restaurant at Hahei Beach holiday park?

Allpress coffee is brewing daily at our Beachbreak Café, the right way to start any beach day. In summer, The Deck opens up for cold beers and burgers under the old pohutukawa tree. And Hahei Village is a short stroll away, with great local restaurants open year-round.

How far is Hot Water Beach from Hahei?

About a 10-minute drive. Bring a spade or hire one near the beach and dig your own natural hot pool in the sand. Best two hours either side of low tide.

Cathedral Cove is a 35–45 minute walk via the Cathedral Cove walkway, or a short water taxi ride from Hahei Beach. Go early in the morning for the best light and far fewer people.
