TORNDIRRUP NATIONAL PARK

View the impressive Natural Bridge rock arch, awe-inspiring drop at The Gap, playful seals and cliffs covered in seasonal wildflowers. Misery Beach was crowned Tourism Australia’s Best Beach for 2022, contrary to its misleading name!

Valley of the giants

VALLEY OF THE GIANTS

In nearby Denmark, you’ll find the Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk. The designer walkway takes you deep into the canopy of giant Tingle Trees, 40 metres up. Choose from a variety of walks and explore the beautiful Wilderness Discovery Centre.

BIBBULMUN TRACK

Great walks abound! Check out one of the world’s truly great long distance walking trails. Stretching close to 1000km from Albany to Kalamunda in the Perth Hills, the track is said to meander like the Rainbow Spirit, Waugal, in the Aboriginal Dreaming.

THE BRIG AMITY

This is a full-size replica of the ship that brought the first white settlers to Australia’s shores. Located on the Princess Royal Harbour foreshore, and part of the Museum of the Great Southern, it offers a great family experience.

HISTORIC WHALING STATION

As the last operating whaling station in Australia, this heritage site tells a unique story. Explore the interactive whaling museum, complete with whale skeleton, fully restored whale processing factory and whale fishing ship. Then relax in the café overlooking the bay.

National ANZAC Centre

This award-winning centre takes you on an immersive journey into the experience of 40,000 Australians and New Zealanders, who left for World War One from the port of Albany.
