Three of the Best Parks for Family Fun

Three of the Best Parks for Family Fun

Moama on Murray Resort, New South Wales

After settling into your self-contained villa in this beautiful bushland setting on the Murray River, your only other decision will be what to do first. For the adults, that could be as simple as sitting back with a beverage of choice and relaxing on the wide verandah of your accommodation enjoying the view. As for the children, their energy levels can be met with a hit of tennis, mini golf, racing around on the pump track or testing their skills on the grand prix track for scooters. Still have energy to burn? Then they can keep going on the Ninja course, go for a spin in a pedal car or run off the excitement with a game of basketball or soccer.

There are also some family fun activities to join in together at the onsite animal farm with daily feeding and interaction with sheep, chickens, goats, ducks and rabbits. No stay on the river would be complete without some fun on the water which the whole family can enjoy by hiring a pontoon boat. You only need a driver’s licence and a few instructions to take your crew of up to 12 people on a leisurely cruise complete with BBQ and esky supplied.

St Helens, Tasmania

Located overlooking the stunning Georges Bay, this St. Helens park is for the beach loving family with water views from your cabin or caravan site and the bonus of an onsite bar and kitchen when no-one wants to cook. After a busy day exploring you can dine in the restaurant or enjoy the alfresco views while enjoying some of the local seafood that this area is known for, or get a pizza to go for the family.

There is a huge camp kitchen in the park as well, and for the kids, a playground, jumping pillow and games room to keep them entertained. Nearby there and safe beaches for swimming in sheltered coves and places for everyone’s pastimes from surfing, beach and jetty fishing and walks around Georges Bay, including conservation areas and the spectacular Peron Dunes.

Nambucca Heads, New South Wales

Halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, this is an ideal park to get people together and with only bush and beach bordering the park it’s perfect for families.

There is direct access to Nambucca Beach but the kids won’t want to leave the park which has everything they could want with a swimming pool, two water slides, a jumping pillow, buggies for a roam around the park and even ‘Goanna Cove’, a games room and entertainment area for indoor fun.
