Denham is the perfect jumping off point to explore! Take a scenic flight or 4WD adventure, dive, snorkel, kitesurf and kayak. Relax in town, with plenty of dining options to delight.

DISCOVERY MONKEY MIA'S DOLPHINS

Just a 20-minute drive from Denham you’ll find the world-famous dolphins of Monkey Mia. Get a close-up view of rangers feeding the friendly bottlenose dolphins. You may even be chosen to hand-feed them yourself!

FRANCOIS PERON NATIONAL PARK

Where red desert cliffs meet turquoise waters, you’ll find an abundance of marine life. Spend an afternoon at the manificent Big Lagoon. Indulge in a host of water activities, or explore early settler life at Peron sheep farming homestead.

WULA GURA NYINDA

SHELL BEACH

Don’t miss this natural wonder, minus sand! It’s one of just a handful of beaches in the world to be made up entirely of tiny white shells. It’s also a safe place to swim and snorkel in crystal clear water of the most vibrant turquoise hues.

EAGLE BLUFF

South of Denham, you’ll find spectacular Eagle Bluff, with breathtaking views across Denham Sound. View sea eagles, sharks, dugongs and manta  rays from the ocean boardwalk. Swim among vibrant fish and coral. Catch a truly awe-inspiring sunset!

As you set foot on Dirk Hartog Island, let the tranquility of its untouched wilderness wash over you. Explore the island’s diverse landscapes, from the windswept shores of Turtle Bay to the rugged peaks of Cape Inscription. Hike through the island’s heart, where wildflowers paint the landscape in vibrant hues, or embark on a 4WD adventure to discover hidden coves and secluded beaches.
