Tasman Holiday Parks

Compliance with
terms and conditions.

  1. The Tasman Tourism Trust (“Tasman”, “we”, “us” or “our”) will provide accommodation and other services to you at the Resort subject to the following terms and conditions and ask that you please read them carefully because the person who makes the reservation or booking will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions on behalf of all persons staying under that reservation at the Resort.
  2. All guests must comply with all terms, conditions, site rules, signage and instructions issued by us and must ensure that any visitors do the same.
  3. If a guest or their visitor is in breach of any of these terms, Tasman reserves the right to evict those guests or visitors from the Resort without payment or any compensation.

Deposit policy.

Deposit: 1st nights tariff due at time of booking to secure the reservation. Balance: Due 21 days prior to arrival. This will automatically be deducted from the credit card provided for your initial deposit payment unless you choose to pay via direct deposit or other credit card prior to this due by date. Reminder: A reminder email will be sent 30 days prior to notify you that your balance is due. Bookings made within 21 days of arrival, will require full payment due at time of booking. Name on the reservation must be the same as the credit cardholder’s name and same individual must check-in for the stay.

Payment methods.

Cash: In person
Credit Card: Phone 1300 418 229 and use your booking reference number which can be located at the top of your booking confirmation.
Chq/Money Order: Payable to North Star Holiday Resort, 1 Tweed Coast Rd, Hastings Point NSW 2489

Cancellations.

In the event of a cancellation, the following applies to all deposits paid:
22+ days prior to arrival: Any payments made can be refunded less a $30 administration fee OR your full payment will be held for any future booking, to be used within 12 months.

21-8 days of arrival: Your full payment will be held for any future booking, to be used within 12 months.

7-1 days of arrival: We are unable to offer a refund, credit or change of dates.

We will consider changes from sites to accommodation due to adverse weather conditions (Subject to availability).

Shortening stays.

In the event of a cancellation, the following applies to all deposits paid:

22+ days prior to arrival: A refund or credit can be offered provided your booking meets the minimum night stay requirements. A $30 administration fee applies to each refund transaction. Credit can be used for future bookings or as room charge credit at Ripples Licensed Café.

21-8 days of arrival: A credit can be offered provided your booking meets the minimum night stay requirements. Credit can be used for future bookings or as room charge credit at Ripples Licensed Café.

7-1 days of arrival: We are unable to offer a refund or credit for any unused portion of your stay.

Please note: Refunds generally will be refunded to credit card used to pay deposit, however in the event of deposits exceeding $400 then a direct deposit may be issued. Refund methods are at the discretion of management. Fees may apply.

Sale rates.

Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer/discounts; Consecutive night minimum stays may apply; Sale rates are not valid on existing bookings and must be fully prepaid at time of booking. Block out periods may apply. All bookings are subject to availability. No refunds or credit available on sale rates when cancelled/shortened or inclusion forfeited.

Stay NSW &
parent NSW vouchers.

Please note when using these vouchers as payment or part payment of accommodation they are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, a gift voucher or a credit note. Early departures.

We apologise, the Resort cannot offer refunds if you choose to leave early.

 

No shows.

We reserve the right to cancel “no shows”. All monies paid will be forfeited.

Inclement/ adverse
weather.

Unfortunately we cannot consider refunds or credit transfers for inclement weather or circumstances beyond our control. Please consider your dates carefully.

Minimum nights.

Minimum night stays may apply during different days and periods of the year.

Check-in/ check-out.

Check in time for Ensuite and Powered sites is 12 noon. Check in time for Accommodation is 3pm. Please do not arrive prior to the check in times as parking at is limited and we do not wish for you to be offended that entry to the resort may be refused. Early check in may be available at a fee. Please call the park prior to arrival for availability and details.

Check out time for both Accommodation and Sites is 10am. Guests are not permitted to use the resort facilities past this time and are required to vacate the property. Late check out may be available at a fee, please see reception for availability and details.

Cleaning and damages.

By entering the park, you agree to leave the accommodation / site and any facilities in sound, clean and tidy condition. If the cabin or site is found to be excessively dirty, you accept that a cleaning fee of $60 per hour will be charged until clean. All Damages, Breakages or losses to the property of the park, including furniture and furnishings, are to be reported and paid for by you. Any faults or breakages discovered by you must be reported within one (1) hour of arrival or we may consider damages to be your responsibility.

Your financial
responsibility.

  1. You are responsible for all accommodation costs, including any costs related to the use of the cabin, room, or site usage.
  2. Guests are responsible for the cost and repair of any Tasman and staff property caused by them and their visitors.
  3. You authorise Tasman to charge your credit card for any costs that you are responsible for, including costs of unpaid accommodation, damage, cleaning, smoking in cabins, lost keys or outstanding charges including unsettled accounts from Ripples Café.
  4. If any guest is representing a company, the guest remains personally responsible for all such costs.

Exclusion of
liability.

  1. All guests and their visitors enter the Resort at their own risk and any use of facilities is on that basis. You waive all claims you may have against Tasman, its employees, consultants and representatives and agree that Tasman is released and indemnified from all liability, relating to any loss, theft, damage, and/or injury (including death) to you or to any of your visitors or any other guests staying in your cabin, room or site. This includes any loss or damage to your possessions, motor vehicle and / or caravan.
  2. You are responsible for your guests and visitors to the Resort, and must ensure they are aware of and comply with these Terms & Conditions. You further indemnify Tasman against claims by your visitors for any reason.
  3. You acknowledge that serious injury, including death, drowning, spinal injuries, broken bones, and strains can be caused by using equipment in the Resort, including pools and water play areas and structures. Similarly, serious injury can be incurred by participating in activities hosted in the Resort.
  4. There is tree management plan in place at the Resort. However, trees and branches can fall from time to time, and cause damage to your property (i.e. car, caravan and awning/tent), particularly during strong winds and rain. You acknowledge the possibility of this happening, and if it does, you understand Tasman will bear no responsibility for any damage caused. You further indemnify Tasman against any claims or costs for any loss or damage caused by falling trees and branches.
  5. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children in the Resort and must ensure appropriate supervision at all times, including bikes and scooters, and particularly in relation to any playgrounds, wet areas and swimming pools.
  6. If children’s activities or events are offered, participation in those activities is at the participant’s risk and does not relieve any parent or guardian from their obligation to supervise the child.
  7. Where our liability cannot be excluded, to the extent permitted by law liability is limited to either resupply of the goods or services or the value of goods or services supplied.

Visitors.

  1. If a there is an additional person (or persons) to the number of persons disclosed as staying on the site or in the cabin or room, an additional fee may be payable.
  2. If you have a visitor who does not leave the Resort by 8:00pm (AEDT), Tasman may treat the visitor as an additional person which may incur an additional fee.

Emergency.

  1. In case of an emergency, call 000 and, after that, notify representatives of the Resort. Resort representatives are available after hours and the contact number is posted at reception and in your arrival welcome book.
  2. In the unlikely event of an emergency, please remain calm and follow all directions provided by Tasman representatives.
  3. Evacuation instructions (including the location of the assembly area) are posted in common areas, including reception.

Vehicles
& road safety.

  1. All roads in the Resort are shared by vehicles, pedestrians, and children on bikes and scooters.
  2. Do not exceed the speed limit for vehicles which is 10 km per hour unless otherwise signposted.
  3. Motor Vehicles may only be parked and driven in designated areas.
  4. All vehicles entering the Resort must be in good working order, free from leaks, registered and insured.

Pets.

  1. Pets are unfortunately not allowed to stay in our Resort.
    Note: Assistance dogs are allowed

Smoking.

  1. Is allowed only in dedicated areas of the Resort and is not permitted in your accommodation or in any common areas. If smoking occurs in any accommodation, an additional fee of $500 will be charged to cover cleaning and sanitation costs.

Behaviour.

  1. Guests and their visitors are to be respectful of others in the Resort, including Tasman employees, representatives and other staff.
  2. Guests and their visitors are not to behave in an inappropriate or unlawful way, damage property, disturb other guests, use unacceptable language and/or antisocial behaviour, use illegal drugs or steal.
  3. Guests and their visitors must wear appropriate clothing and footwear at all times, including wearing swimwear in the pool and water play areas, and wearing footwear at all times.
  4. Between 10pm and 7am (AEDT):
    noise (including music, television and social gatherings) is to be kept to a minimum; and
    generators must not be used.
  5. Alcohol may be consumed by adults in moderation in the Resort.
  6. Antisocial behaviour, illegal drug use, excessive drinking, messy behaviour, unregistered vehicles, loud noise, violence, smoking in the Resort (including in the accommodation), giving driving lessons and conducting business in the Resort are not permitted under any circumstances.
  7. Open fires (including in braziers or similar) are not allowed in the Resort under any circumstances.
  8. The charging of battery-operated, electric vehicles and devices (including but not limited to scooters or similar) is a fire risk. You acknowledge and agree that you will remain in close proximity and supervise items while charging, and that you will not charge items overnight or leave them unattended when charging.

Use of facilities
& common areas.

  1. Water Park and Pool attendants may be present poolside; however, their role is to control the use of the facilities and enforce compliance with our wristband policy only. Pool attendants will not supervise children or attendees in any capacity.
  2. No person is permitted to engage in any dangerous behaviour while using the Resort’s facilities which, in the case of water areas, includes flukes, somersaults, diving, slipping, falling, and running on wet services.
  3. You must report any incidents, accidents or damage in the Resort to management as soon as possible.
  4. No children are permitted in common areas after 10pm (AEDT).
  5. Children under the age of 9 years are not permitted to use any top bunk for any reason.

Pool entry
& safety rules.

  1. 0-5 Years & Non-Swimmers: Parents and caregivers must stay within arms’ reach.
  2. 6-10 Years & Weak Swimmers: Parents and caregivers must be close, ready to provide assistance & maintain constant visual contact.
  3. 11-17 Years: Parents and caregivers should maintain visual contact.
    Poor Swimmers: Which may include the elderly should be supervised by a competent adult maintaining visual contact.
  4. Parents and caregivers accept responsibility to supervise their children and poor swimmers at all times.
  5. Poor adult swimmers must use a safety floatation device if not supervised by a competent adult.

Neptune's Castle
Kids Club - parents and caregivers please note carefully.

  1. Tasman provides activities for the convenience of parents and children. Whilst every care is taken in providing this service for guests, entry to and use of all facilities is at the risk of each user.
  2. By signing in and leaving your child with the supervisor on duty, parents and caregivers agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Tasman, our agents, owners, volunteers and employees from all claims or liability in connection with or arising from your child’s attendance at Neptune’s Castle Kids Club, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, bodily harm, injury, damages and expenses in respect of death, loss or damage to or by the child, regardless of cause.
  3. Supervised Kids Club sessions for children aged 3 – 6 years old are available from 9:00am to 10:30pm and 1:30pm to 3:00pm on select days, subject to availability.
  4. Supervised Kids Club sessions for children aged 7 – 12 years old are available from 11:00am to 12:30pm and 3:30pm to 5:00pm on select days, subject to availability.
  5. Parents and caregivers must sign-in on arrival and collect children and sign-out at the end of supervised Kids Club sessions.
  6. For safety, at least one parent or caregiver must remain in the Resort at all times while their child is attending a supervised Kids Club session in case of an emergency.
  7. Parental supervision is required during all Movie Nights & free play sessions.
  8. Infants aged 2 years old or less are only permitted to enter Neptune’s Castle under strict parental supervision and only during 3-6 year old supervised and free play session times. For hygiene reasons, children wearing nappy are not permitted to enter the ball pit or proceed past the first level of the climbing frame.
  9. Children 13+ years are prohibited from entering Neptune’s Castle and using the equipment.

Bicycles, skateboards
scooters (including electric), rollerblades, and go-karts.

  1. Can only be used during daylight hours on the roads and not near Resort facilities such as the laundry, amenities, and playgrounds including the Resort entrance and the Boardwalk.
  2. Helmets must be worn at all times
  3. Road rules and speed limits must be adhered to at all times
  4. Parents must supervise their children at all times.
  5. Skateboards, electric scooters and rollerblades are not permitted.

Photography
and social media.

  1. Tasman does not provide consent for any guest to photograph other guests, visitors or children.
  2. During your stay, you or your children may be photographed by Tasman or Tasman’s agents, consultants or employees. If you do not want to be included in any such photography (or do not want your children to be included), tell the photographer. If you do not tell the photographer that you do not wish to be included, or if you reply “YesTasmanHolidayResorts” in your social media you give Tasman permission to use these photos and any social media content (including photos, name, and information) for promotional purposes on its websites, social media, and other platforms. Contact Tasman if you change your mind about the use of your content.
  3. You agree that you will only provide permission if you are 18 years of age or older or have a parent’s permission, own any copyright, follow laws and regulations, state your honest opinions, not include others’ personal information without consent, and disclose any commercial connections with Tasman or third-party brands or sellers.
  4. You will not be paid by Tasman for the use of your image or content and you release Tasman from any liability for the use of the photographs, image and/or content to the extent permitted by law.

Park Rules and
Conditions of Entry

Every Tasman Holiday Park has a set of standard operational rules and guidelines to ensure the respect of all guests and staff. In addition to these standard rules, certain parks may also have additional requirements.

Arrival / Departure:
You are free to arrive from 2pm until 5pm. All accommodation and sites are to be vacated by 10am on day of departure. If you would like to make alternate arrangements, please see our team at reception prior to arrival or scheduled departure time.

Speed Limit:
All roads in the property are shared between vehicles, pedestrians and kids on bikes and scooters. All roads have a walking pace speed limit of 8km/h unless signposted otherwise.

Noise:
Please be respectful of others and their enjoyment within the park by restricting noise from music, televisions, and social gatherings between 10pm and 6am.

Parking:
One car space has been allocated for each site. Please park in this space and not on or across roadways.

Children:
All children in the park are the responsibility of their parent or guardian. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult when using the amenities, playgrounds, pool areas and other park facilities. We require all children to be back at their registered accommodation or site by 10pm.

Bunk Beds:
Children under 9 years of age should not use the top bunk. Children should also not play on the top bunk.

Bicycles / Skateboards / Scooters / Rollerblades/Go-Karts:
Are to be used in daylight hours and only on roadways. These items are not to be used in or around park facilities such as the laundry, amenities buildings, playgrounds etc. Other out of bound’s areas, including the entrance to the park, will be outlined by our team at reception.

Swimming Pool:
Use of the swimming pools and other water play activity areas in the park may result in serious personal injury, including death, drowning, head, eye, spinal injury, paralysis, broken limbs, or strains. Flips, somersaults, and inverted manoeuvres into the water are dangerous and are prohibited. Other risks include diving headfirst, slips, trips, falls and running on wet surfaces. All children in these areas are to be under the strictest supervision by their direct parent, adult carer, or responsible adult guardian. Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times.

Playgrounds and Jumping Pads:
Use of playground & jumping Pads / pillow equipment may result in serious injury including death, head, eye or spinal injury, paralysis, broken limbs or strains. Risks include falls and collisions with other users and hazards associated with gaps, openings, and protruding objects.

Visitors:
If a there is an additional person (or persons) to the number of persons disclosed as staying on the site or in the cabin or room, an additional fee may be payable. If you have a visitor who does not leave the Park by 8.00 pm, Tasman may treat the visitor as an additional person which may incur an additional fee.

Dump Point:
See Park map or reception team for location. Please do not use amenity blocks.

Fires:
Fires are only permitted at certain Tasman Holiday Parks and during seasonal periods and weather conditions and can only be lit in braziers or fire pits. Fires must always be attended at all times when lit and extinguished appropriately when complete. Fires can only be lit in line with local fire services guidelines (i.e., not during a fire ban). See reception for more information.

Pets:
Some Tasman Holiday Parks are pet-friendly. Small pets will be allowed at certain times during the year. Please contact the park prior to arrival to discuss bringing your pet on holiday with you.

Smoking:
Is not permitted in any accommodation or common areas. If smoking occurs in any accommodation, an additional fee of $400 will be charged to cover cleaning and sanitisation costs.

Emergency:
For any emergency cases relating to fire, police or ambulance please contact 000 (Australia) or 111 (New Zealand). After Hours assistance by park management will be available. A mobile number is posted on the reception entry.

Unauthorised Activities:
Antisocial behaviour, illegal drug use, excessive use of alcohol, undue mess around site, unregistered vehicles, undue noise, acts of violence, smoking in accommodation, driving lessons and conducting business onsite are prohibited from occurring on the property. Failure to comply with any of the above, including any damage caused to the property may result in eviction from the property.

You also agree and confirm you:

  3. Have complied with all laws and regulations associated with acquiring and/or producing the content;
