COVID-19 NZ Guest Vaccination Policy

COVID-19 Guest Vaccination Policy – Tasman Holiday Parks New Zealand

Tasman Holiday Parks is committed to delivering a safe, clean & friendly experience at each of our holiday park locations. This commitment will always be part of our Tasman promise, however, it has never been more important, than in these uncertain times, that we consider how best to prioritise the health and safety of our guests and employees.

Under the new COVID 19 Protection Framework (traffic light), the accommodation sector is considered as a non-mandated workplace. However, under current WorkSafe guidance for Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (HSWA), we have an obligation to proceed with a risk assessment process. Tasman Holiday Parks (New Zealand) has a further obligation to adhere to the guidance provided by MBIE (Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment). The HSWA requires employers to ensure the health and safety of their workers so far as is reasonably practicable, and risks associated with infections in the workplace will be addressed via a risk management process.

In line with this risk assessment, to ensure the safety of our guests, staff and contractors, and to protect those unable to be vaccinated, Tasman Holiday Parks (New Zealand) will be introducing a Vaccination Policy across all our New Zealand holiday parks.

From the 15th of December 2021, all eligible people aged 12 years, three months and over must be fully vaccinated at any Tasman Holiday Park in New Zealand. Our team will also be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We will continue to monitor government requirements and may amend this accordingly.

Guest Bookings and Arrival
Guests and visitors arriving at a Tasman Holiday Park in New Zealand will be required to show a valid vaccination certificate or official exemption at check-in in accordance with the Ministry of Health. Tasman Holiday Parks staff will verify vaccination status with the use of the NZ Pass Verifier App.

Please note that no unique identifiers or other guest information will be recorded or kept on file.

Additionally, there will continue to be COVID-safe measures in place across all our parks including the requirement to scan in via the COVID tracer app or manual system provided, wear masks where and when directed and social distance as and when practically possible to do so.

Booking Flexibility
We understand that not everyone wishes to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and to these guests, we acknowledge that this decision will impact your holiday plans. If the vaccinated requirement means you can no longer attend our parks in New Zealand, you will be entitled to a full cancellation refund.
