Explore Tathra Wharf
Explore Tathra WharfBuilt in 1862, the historic Tathra Wharf is the only deep sea timber wharf on the east coast. This iconic wharf is a drawcard for families, snorkellers, divers and photographers. Watch the spring whale migration or see fur seals and fairy penguins from Montague Island. Pop into The Wharf Local Coffee Bar and Gallery afterwards.
Local walksFresh air, remarkable scenery and marine life – enjoy it all with a local walk. Tathra Headland Walk goes between Tathra Wharf and heritage-listed Tathra Hotel. Viewing platforms offer great whale watching opportunities. Another popular option is Kangarutha Walking Track, which links Bournda National Park with Kianinny Bay. If you’re feeling energetic, walk or cycle the track from Kalaru to Tathra.
Mountain bikingIf you’re mad about mountain biking, Tathra’s unique coastal trail will be a highlight of your holiday. Almost 55km of single track includes trails suited to all ages, from beginners to intermediate or expert riders.
